The Newington Pride Steering Committee is expanding their programming by creating a task force aimed at creating, organizing, and implementing educational and mental health needs within the community. We are seeking volunteers to support this expansion.
PURPOSE
Led by a licensed clinician, the Education Task Force seeks to accomplish the following goals:
GOALS
GOAL 1
Assess educational and mental health needs in the Newington community.
GOAL 2
Identify necessary resources to provide educational and mental health programming.
GOAL 3
Develop various educational and mental health programming to be implemented within the Newington community.
POTENTIAL ACTIVITIES
Potential programming includes:
1-hour information sessions on LGBTQIA related topics
3-hour interactive workshops for youth, parents, couples, or families
Multi-week support groups for youth, parents, couples, or families
And more!
